John was called to the bar in British Columbia in 1994. John focuses on labour, employment and administrative law. He has advised clients on matters relating to collective agreements and union and employer law for both provincial and federal labour law jurisdictions and has appeared as counsel or co-counsel in front of administrative tribunals, labour relations boards and the courts. He has also advised clients on labour and employment regulation and the interpretation and application of collective agreements. He has also appeared on numerous arbitration boards as an arbitrator to resolve statutory entitlement disputes and has represented clients in mediation and other ADR (Alternate Dispute Resolution) procedures. John has also developed training and curriculum materials for provincial arbitration boards with the BC Justice Institute. He has also provided legal services to the provincial government on administrative law and legal policy issues. John was the legal editor of a number of important labour and employment law publications including BC Labour Arbitration Decisions, Federal Labour Arbitration Decisions, BC Labour Relations Board Decisions, BC Employment Standards Board Decisions and Class Actions in Canada. John is committed to the best approach to resolve his client’s legal issues, always keeping in mind the best interests of his clients. In his spare time, he enjoys playing various sports, hiking the many trails in British Columbia, cycling, reading and watercolour painting. |
