Blair began his legal career by articling and practicing for 6 years in the Labour & Employment law group at the Vancouver office of a large national law firm. Blair has extensive experience in employment law and related matters. He has assisted clients in reaching favorable resolutions of disputes including: wrongful dismissals, human rights complaints, employment standards complaints, employment contract interpretation disputes and worker's compensation issues. Blair typically advises on, and drafts agreements pertaining to executive employment, such as employment contracts, stock option agreements, non-competition and confidentiality clauses. In his practice, Blair has appeared as counsel before all levels of Courts in British Columbia and has succeeded in arguing a number of important and precedent setting employment law cases. He has also acted as counsel before various federal and provincial administrative tribunals in employment law related matters. Blair is a struggling guitarist, an accomplished chef and oenophile, and can be a pretty good singer in the right place at the right time. |
